Rules and Regulations

The Florida Youth Soccer League (FYSL) adheres to FIFA "Laws of the Game," with some league-specific modifications. We have clear procedures in place for handling disputes, which can only be filed concerning illegal players, not referee decisions.

We prioritize sportsmanship and respect at all times. Coaches, players, and spectators are expected to maintain a positive environment, and we enforce a zero-tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike behavior. Violations, including foul language or inappropriate conduct, may result in ejections from the game or the league. Additionally, the league implements a mercy rule to ensure fair play and prevent one-sided games.

Registration Guidelines

The FYSL is designed for recreational soccer players and is not a competitive-level league. We provide opportunities for players from U6 Recreational through U14 Recreational age groups. Our focus is on fun, skill development, and team participation rather than high-level competition.

Teams must meet minimum player requirements, and we offer co-ed teams in certain age groups. Age verification is required for all players to ensure eligibility. All teams must be affiliated with recognized organizations such as FYSAUS Club Soccer, or USSSA. Coaches, players, and spectators should also be aware that our league has a zero-tolerance policy for any unsportsmanlike conduct, which will result in penalties and possible ejections.
